Is Disability Insurance Essential? Is it something that I need? These are questions that we ask when someone tells us to get the disability insurance or offers us to buy a policy. The answer to this question is Yes!

Do you know that the most recent results of a new survey regarding economic recession shows that many Americans who did not invest in savings, health, life and disability insurance suffered the consequence of becoming jobless and homeless because they became vulnerable to serious financial hardship when they lost their job after becoming sick, got into an accident and couldn’t work.

According to the survey results, more than a quarter of working Americans actually say that they are likely to suffer the same consequence and have trouble supporting themselves and their families financially “immediately” after a disability that will make them unable to work and earn money. Th scary part is that, currently nearly forty nine percent are likely to reach that point in a month or less, with the current economic situation of the country.
This is also the reason why the government and every state is imposing and encouraging people to get insurance, specifically disability insurance just in case of any disability, a person would still cope financially. For the same reason, state disability insurance are becoming more and more popular. Every state are introducing state disability insurance to working individuals as a part of their security. You are lucky if you suffer only from short term disability, and then after awhile get back to work again. But what if you suffer from long term disability or permanent disability, what would you do to support yourself and your family?
You should ask yourself things like these more often, most especially because the economy is not in a very good state. If able individuals are losing their jobs, what chances do you have if you suffer from any disability?
Do you have social security insurance, social security disability insurance, or disability health insurance of any kind? Does disability insurance cost bother you? Think of it as an investment. Get best disability insurance, and not that we expect something horrible to happen but a permanent disability insurance would be the best choice, just for security, not only for yourself but also for the people who are depending on you.
