To The One I Love

Dec 10 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

I’m so glad that you’re in my life, I wish I could say the right words.. But all I can say is I love you, But even if I’d utter those words a million times, it doesn’t seem to be enough to express just how I truly feel for you. Thank you for being here through thick and thin. I don’t know how I could make it this far if you weren’t there. You gave meaning to my existence and continue to give me strength to go on with this life no matter what. I am nothing without you because you are my life… I love you. It took me awhile to post this here, but I guess its never too late , right? Advance Merry Christmas baby…

bitten by a love bug

love bug

love bug

Despite all the bad things that happened and no matter how worst things has turned out to be in my life, you remained the only constant source of happiness for me. As if I was bitten by a happy bug, and the sting remains forever. Everytime you cross my mind, I always smile even if tears can’t help but fall. I will always have a reason to be thankful and for feeling so blessed. How I wish I could hold you in my arms forever, but I could only cherish every yesterday and today that you’re here with me. I know I don’t really get to tell you as often, but I am happy with you – really. There are times that we fight over petty things, but maybe it’s just because of the circumstances. But over all, I am happy that you’re mine and I’m yours. I loved you then, I love you even more now, and I will continue to love for as long as I’m breathing. I don’t care if I get bitten by your love and happiness bug over and over again…

"The Compleat Courtship" by Nancy Van Pelt – Everything you always wanted to know about Love and Relationships but were afraid to ask

Sep 10 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

“The Compleat Courtship” by Nancy Van Pelt - I’m back to my reading moments and this is the book I’d rather label “Everything you always wanted to know about Love and Relationships but were afraid to ask

I find it hard to sleep lately, and so I try to read some of the books I brought with me. But, after having my breakfast I passed by my aunt’s small library. As I was going through some of the books, I found this book entitled “The Compleat Courtship” by Nancy Van Pelt. It’s written exclusively for people in Love. It basically discusses varoius topics about being in a relationship and answers questions like:

Why Date? What do fellows like in girls? what do girls like in fellows? To kiss or not to kiss. The makings of a good date. How to survive a breakup. How to tell if you are really in love. Love Versus Infatuation. Petting. How far is too far? Guidelines for expressing affection. Premarital sex. Intimacy without sex. Living-in. God’s plan for sex. How to know if my partner is ready for marriage? The most important factor when choosing a mate. The best age to marry. Religion and mate choice. Marrying a divorced person. Interracial marriages. The purpose and length of engagement. How intimate should engagement be? It’s time to see the doctor. The Past – How much should I tell? How to break an engagement. A note to the broken hearted….

There are also interesting topics like, “Everything you always wanted to know about honeymoons but were afraid to ask” and the In-Law Crisis.

Don’t you know that a successful marriage begins with a successful courtship? This book “The Compleat Courtship” will help you discover the exciting adventures of dating and courtship. If you’re in a dilemma right now, it might just be what you need. This is no paid promotional material, in fact I don’t even have any idea who Nancy Van Pelt is, but she writes very well. It’s really an interesting book, and I recommend it to everyone.

The Love Convict On Forbidden Love

Jun 21 2008 Published by Alexis under Bittersweet Love

Many of us are love convicts, I admit being a major love convict. If loving were a crime, I’m probably the most wanted criminal in town, or who knows– in the whole wide world? I am guilty – guilty beyond reasonable doubt. I don’t mind though, because I’m happy loving someone. So happy that smile won’t leave my lips even when I’m asleep.

It’s normal for people to judge people, most especially if  they are engaged in what they call “FORBIDDEN LOVE. But I guess, there’s no such thing as right or wrong when it comes to love. Wrong time perhaps, or wrong circumstance, for LOVE and loving itself could never be wrong.

On Forbidden Love

One of the hardest things to battle with in love, is loving someone who isn’t yours, or can’t be yours. But, the more difficult the struggle becomes, when that person loves you back just the same. – bittersweet collide

And I love the beautiful quote by the famous RM Rilke: “For one human being to love another: that is perhaps the most difficult of our tasks; the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation.”

Lastly, I just wanna share this song entitled, “ALL OVER ME

I really love this song.

Lindsey Harper – All Over Me Lyrics

In the space between what’s wrong and right,
You will find me waiting for you.
All your fortresses go down in the night.
To the dawn I’ll see you through.
‘Cause I know, that you know,
You’re all over me now.
And it’s clear, it will show,
Your curtains will close.

But if your heart is cold, my sheets are warm.
I will shelter you through the storm.
I will shelter you all through the storm.

The answers aren’t so easy to find,
The questions will have to do.
‘Cause I’ve lost myself deep in your life,
My only fix is you.

‘Cause I know, that you know,
You’re all over me now.
And it’s clear, it will show,
Your curtains will close.
But if your heart is cold, my sheets are warm.
I will shelter you through the storm.
I will shelter you all through the storm.

Saying what I am, what we are,
It’s a start towards the truth.
Taking my breath with each day,
All I can stand in my heart it’s you.

In the space between what’s wrong and right,
You will find me waiting for you…

on moving forward

May 15 2008 Published by Alexis under Bittersweet Love

I’ve always had a hard time when it comes to moving forward and moving on. I’m not quite sure if I’m ready, Well, there’s no such thing as a “sure thing” in this life anyways.. I guess I must try to do so, and give my best shot, otherwise I might get stuck forever. According to Mary Manin Morrissey;

“Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life.”

I guess that’s what I’ve been doing the whole time. I’ve been wanting to get further and take things to a whole new level and move forward, but so much is holding me back from doing so. From this day onward, I’ll try to change my way of thinking and my perspective toward things and life. Like what I’ve said in my previous post, I’m now learning the art of staying and thinking positive. I know I can move on, I just need to take one step at a time.
