I’m not talking about a person, but a phone. Someone is offered to trade a Samsung Galaxy Ace mobile phone to my bike. They said that the phone has never been really used so it’s good as brandnew, and it was just given to them, so It did not really include accessories aside from the basic ones, like charger and headset. I told them to keep the phone and just buy Samsung accessories for their Samsung Galaxy Ace.
I declined to the trade not because I don’t like the gadget, in fact, It’s a pretty nice for a mid ranged phone. I read some reviews about it and a lot of people actually loved the phone too. But, I don’t really need a phone right now. I’m not really that good in taking care of them.
Besides, I’m so happy with my bike right now. Aside from the fact that I get to have a lot of fun, and I plan to become a member of the club, it also helps me in improving my health.
If there’s something I’m most proud of when it comes to being Pinoy, it’s having an ingenuousness mind to create something out of the unusual. Some people used to think that when something is made of steel, it’s likely to sink. But, ships are made of steel and other materials but they keep afloat right?
This idea saved a few people from losing their lives during a recent flood incident in one area of the country. Sealed steel drums actually saved their lives, and from that incident, the local government units got the idea of recycling.
They gathered and repainted unused steel drums, and also huge plastic gallons of water, tied them up together, making lifesaving rafts out of them. So, next time the same incident happens, it would prevent more life loss and save more people, without having to spend too much on buying expensive rubber boats.
I couldn’t really call myself a nomad, despite the fact that I’ve been moving from one place to another for quite sometime now. Since unlike the rest of the transients, I try to live within the area, or at least close enough to the major cities.
I haven’t gone too far yet, but I’m thinking of trying it soon. I envy those people who gets to live their dream of travelling. But, I think it’s kinda challenging to live a life on the road. Maybe, next time I see a mobile home for sale, I’ll inquire just how much it costs. But for now, I have to think of ways to be able to save up money, so I can afford one.
Just the thought of going from one place to another makes me ecstatic. Imagine travelling, living on the road, moving from one place to another, and not just within the city, province or island, but moving to even the farthest areas of the country, or who knows, out of the country. That must be a totally exciting experience.
I tagged along with some pro bikers on their Friday night ride. It was my first time to join. I never knew that this club consists of a huge number of members. It’s great to see families, dads, couples, siblings, riding together from one city to another, and just having fun. Well, I’m no0t a member yet, but I’m thinking of officially joining the club, soon.
You can tell that some of them are really pros when it comes to bike matters. Some even talked about mechanics like how to repack the sealed bearings for their bike’s wheel hubs and pedals. I am not really as knowledgeable as they are when it comes to those stuff. All I know is I just wanna keep riding my bike and enjoy every moment of it. If something gets broken, then replace it with a new one.
If I had a choice, I wouldn’t waste time cleaning up rusty chains, when I could just replace it with a new one. I mean the effort is priceless, and buying new parts would not only save you your time and sweat, but it would also mean better performance for your ride.
