NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations

aquanautIndustrial computers make it possible to keep track of the NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations project otherwise known as NEEMO. From the NASA base they record all the activities and developments of the crew in Aquarius.

In this project, NASA sends a group of space exploration team to live in Aquarius, an underwater training base, for three weeks. According to NASA, it is a good preparation for the team to get used to living in Aquarius because it simulated space exploration.

Humans are not used to living underwater, therefore it’s a perfect environment, to help the NEEMO crew adjust to a strange environment and wearing suit all the time. The crew are trained to do tasks underwater, that they will be doing once they go to the outer space.

Once the team goes outer space, high end industrial computers will be used to record as well as save data of the space mission. I wonder when their next trip to space will be, and how far they can go with the space exploration and technology, most of all, I wonder how the new discoveries will create an impact to the whole world.
