Chasing A Dream

My young cousin finally got into the college football varsity team. He is a sophomore in college now. He always wanted to be a part of the football team since he was in high school, but they would always turn him down, simply because they judge him by his looks. He is tall but  has rounded face, and kind of harbored baby fats around the mid section of his body.

A month before he graduated in high school, he enrolled in a summer football clinic and went on training. It must be an effective fat burner because he lost weight in just a matter of two months then never gained back, since he’s been on training.  Even his old classmates got surprised of the way he turned out after the summer training.

After summer, he played really well and became a tan boy who looks pretty fit and lean, pretty far from the chubby boy he used to be. He got the looks but not the physique. Before girls would always say he’s cute but chubby and get turned off, but after that, girls can’t help but notice him. And guess what, he was the one who started turning them down, and went on a soccer training every after class for his whole freshmen year, until last summer.

It is his ultimate dream to be part of the school football team.  Finally, he tried out again for the varsity team and this time, he got in. He chased his dream and when he got the chance, he grabbed it, worked for it and held on, until he finally got what he wished for.
