J and the Balloon Race

Jun 30 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

J and I joined the balloon race just for fun, although when we talk about it, we envision some sort of luxury vacations in Spain. Not riding a balloon though, but if it would be like that, why not? As per terms and agreement, the race is basically for those people in the UK although I think what made the race more exciting is that a lot of people actually joined just for fun, even those who aren’t from UK. And, I think it’s also one way to make the race more challenging for those who are deserving to win. Whoever wins, even if they’re not from the UK, I bet they will be given recognition and a gift price of some sort. After all, it’s a game well played, and it’s really fun!

a birthday invitation

Jun 30 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

My best friend Oz and I, got some birthday invitations from our old friend back in college, Irish. It’s for her kid Macky’s birthday, who is turning four years old. Wow! I can’t believe it’s been awhile. When I last attended Macky’s birthday, he just turned one year old. Time really flies so fast. My other friends have kids too, I wonder when I’m going to have one. We’re so excited because our college friends are going to attend the part too. they’re probably going to attend together with their kids. Since, it’s a kiddo part, my only problem now is finding a kiddo to bring. Ha-ha. Oh well, Oz doesn’t have one either, so I guess it’s alright. And besides, we both love attending kiddie parties.

the silent bike

Jun 30 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

Last night I was talking to J about how i had my bike customized to make it more silent, especially because I drive home late at night sometimes, and it’s a residential area. I wouldn’t want people to wake up just because of the annoying sound of the motorcycle. So, yeah my bike is now the silent type, it’s sound is what you can call a motorcycle whisper.  Talking about motorcycles, I bumped into sites with used Harleys and the other one featured with a Guitar Motorcycle. If I have a silent bike, he has a musical bike.  It actually took the guy to build his own bike. I wonder if I could see one running around here too.

I love books

Jun 30 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

I love books, I’m a wide reader since I was a young child. I don’t have favorites in particular, as long as it’s an interesting book, I read it. Right now, I’m spending a lot of time reading e-books when I’m on the go. My friend once asked why we have so many books at home, because we have a mini library in our house. I told her that, my whole family love books. Each one of us try to collect great books and we place it in one specific part of our house so we can all have a chance to read it. And if someone visits the house, they can take a look and have a good read as well. Books are one of the most important factors when it comes to larning.

pencils and bleeding pens

Jun 30 2008 Published by Alexis under Bittersweet Love

One night I woke up and found myself lying beside you
I could not help but stare at your beautiful face
I gathered my pencils, and started to trace
to capture your beauty in my sketch

…but it seems that my pencils failed
and my purpose defeated Continue Reading »

feedback 2

Jun 30 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

I find the site content so heart-warming rather than breaking…full of substance. Carry on! – Helen of nursecorner.com

This is probably the best blog I have seen in awhile, keep rockin!. – Chris of dropdeadchris.com

the site was interesting and well done. The graphics were a definite plus. There were unusual and thought provoking poems and prose. My only problem was that I wasn’t sure what the purpose of the site was. It seems a bit vague.. – Neil (senseandnonsensnb.blogspot.com)

This is such a neat site! It’s a unique look, sort of like a blog, but its a site! I really like it! It has sooo much on it, but is not cluttered at all! I think your site is fantastic! This is going on my favorites list, I have a lot to learn from this site! Awesome job!. – Hanen (hanenalk.blogspot.com)

very informative… nice animal balloon effect.  -  x-overprofiles.com

Very wonderful site. The layout is so great. I love how the pictures are texts are put in place. The color scheme is marvelous. Content is okay too. Over all, this is a very fantastic site. One of the sites that I should say, A MUST SEE.. – lloyd (lloydbelleza.blogspot.com)

Very interesting and mystical. I like the overall design of the site, a few problems with formatting text. Content is well written. It almost seems like lyrics to great song. Best of luck to you!.

I don’t normally send out messages like this, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt. Please let me know if you would interested in being featured in a future Good Kharma Newsletter.

That really means a lot because it does take my heart and soul to write each and every newsletter and I love it! I just so happen to be working on my next newsletter for August 15th so you have plenty of time to work on something related to good kharma. I will give you some scenarios for your to think about and I will gladly feature an article about you, someone you love whether it be a person or a 4 legged or even 3 legged friend, or however many legs your friend may have. We never discriminate here, the only way we discriminate is the size of the heart. Must have a big heart with love in your soul! It can be about you, what you have suffered through to make you stronger, or even just your passion in what you do. Think of it as somewhat of an essay only this is free journalism at its best. It must come from your heart and your soul to move readers.  Take care!

The Importance of Feedback

Jun 29 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

Feedbacks are the best way to evaluate ourselves. So, if people give you either negative or positive feedback, don’t let it affect your ego. A good feedback is more of a recognition of the good things you’ve done, while the negative ones are simply reminders that you need to do better.  Both needs to be  accepted wholeheartedly like a recognition on engraved plaques, as a reminder that there’s an unlimited room of improvement for everything.

To all those who have given me a feedback, thanks a lot and please continue doing so. I really appreciate it!

Anyway, I’d like to share my recent feedbacks for Aidan(my blog) – bittersweetcollide.com

A great site, very well organised. You can see that from the first page. The articles are organised, on two columns, and each article has a photo. This site has some great graphics, and i love the way the articles are organised on the first page. It gives me a feeling, of a clean site, with fine pictures. Good graphics, good site, original content, very fast loading. 5/5 overall.

I like your site but for me and I am not smartest man in the world something is missing. I am designer and that is mine point of view a little bit warmer colors. All rest is nice I say OK !!! – te-edu.info

I like the poem about “It all started with goodbye.” Very nice poetry. Easy on the eyes coloring. Not too cluttered. Wish you the best of luck with your blog.. - goodies4you.zlio.net

A good, clean site with structured entries that makes for a good read. Definitely a site to look out for, and keep checking for more interesting content. I’m pleased to see your simple, yet stylish layout. It gives off a welcoming feel that will bring readers in. Hopefully you will keep it, as I can see this site being quite successful. Overall a very good job..

Those are just a few of the feedbacks I’ve received and I am making a column specifically for feedback section.

A day in the past

Jun 29 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

This is going to be my very first entry here. Alexis is sick and so I’m writing here for now. Actually, I just want to share about a special day in the past. It was the day when we first went out. We were pretty young then, back when we were still in high school. Like what kids usually do, we just brought food  at McDonald’s and went straight to the park. We went running around the pond, then off to the slide, the swing, gone biking,  etc. And when we got so tired we just sat at one of the park’s play house patio furniture and ate our food. That day was pretty simple, yet fun. We were just like kids playing around, it wasn’t really a date of some sort. But, if you would ask me what was the best date I had in my life, that would be it.

mom is truly the best!

Jun 27 2008 Published by Alexis under Random Entries

Last night mom made us taste test her new squash recipe. It’s like squash custard or flan, although it has a more creamy twist to it. Mom did it again! When it comes to culinary stuff, my mom is a true champion. I think that’s where my brother got his talent in cooking from. I can’t really cook much, although I love pasta so I’ve somehow manage to learn to good good pasta (I guess). Actually, my mom is starting to blog too, I’ve been encouraging her to do so. Through blogging, she can share her recipes on the net with other moms who’d love to cook great and healthy food at the same time. I think she’s now enjoying blogging as much as she enjoys cooking. She’s met quite a number of friends and fans alike because of her food blog. For me, mom is truly the best!
