Bad luck, good luck, who knows?

Here’s another higher awareness life lesson that I’d like to share. It’s all about giving no judgment for anything that happens, good or bad. Things do happen for a reason.

Everythin in life h0lds b0th a blessing and a curse. We deny this when we label the events 0f 0ur lives as either good 0r bad. The f0ll0wing 0ld Zen st0ry illustrates this lesson m0st effectively.

A farmer had a h0rse but 0ne day, the horse ran away and s0 the farmer and his s0n had to pl0w their fields themselves. Their neighb0rs said, “0h, what bad luck that y0ur horse ran away!” But the farmer replied, “Bad luck, good luck, who knows?”

The next week, the h0rse returned t0 the farm, bringing a herd of wi|d h0rses with him. “What wonderful luck!” cried the neighb0rs, but the farmer resp0nded, “Good luck, bad luck, wh0 knows?”

Then, the farmer’s s0n was thr0wn as he tried to ride 0ne of the wi|d h0rses, and he br0ke his leg. “Ah, such bad luck,” sympathized the neighb0rs. 0nce again, the farmer resp0nded, “Bad luck, good luck, who knows?”

A sh0rt time later, the ruler 0f the c0untry recruited all y0ung men t0 j0in his army f0r battle. The s0n, with his br0ken leg, was left at h0me. “What good luck that y0ur s0n was n0t f0rced int0 battle!” celebrated the neighb0rs. And the farmer remarked, “Good luck, bad luck, who knows?”

“Do not judge, and you will never be mistaken.”
