After dinner, my siblings gathered around the family hall to have the usual bonding time. Jay told Shuei to check on the hamsters, if they still had water on their bottle. Shuei ran back to Jay as fast as she could saying that Posh wasn’t moving. Jay was just joking that Posh was just playing dead again, like what hamsters usually do, and look like when they’re sleeping. But, Shuei started crying already saying that she think Poshy is really gone. so, Jay immediately checked on Poshy only to find out that the poor hamster is really gone. Even my younger bro couldn’t help hold back his tears at the sight of it. They’re very emotional and affected, just as they were with the previous pets that we’ve lost.
It’s been 10 months since we got Poshy from the pet shop, and we all know how hamsters have a very short life span. But still, it’s been just 10 months.
Right now, we still have a lot of them, since like bunnies they don’t really stop reproducing. Although, it saddens me to see how my siblings are affected every time they lose a pet. That’s the reason why I’d rather have dogs who live a much longer life, or a turtle.
Goodbye Posh!
