Luna’s Eyes
Feb 23rd, 2008 | By Alexis | Category: Composition, You Might Want to ReadI just wanna share this poem that I wrote
back when I was in Grade School.
“Luna’s Eyes”

When all you see is darkness
you just have to lift your head up high
Luna’s eyes speak of truth amidst all the lies
Luna’s eyes drown in pain whenever you cry
You’re never alone, someone understands
You’ll find all the answers in Luna’s eyes
there you’ll find comfort and warmth
there you’ll find peace even in chaos
there you’ll be safe from all harm
there you’ll find home -
even when you’re completely lost
Luna is simply saying, think positive.
Luna is the sanity behind all your madness
Luna is saying I’m just here even if you don’t see me.
Luna is saying, there’s hope even in darkness.
Luna is the light within you that you try to defy
Luna is the tears welling up in your eyes
So afraid to let go, so afraid to let them flow
But not when you see yourself in Luna’s eyes.
Why do wolves howl at the moon,
or rejoice at the sight of its reflection?
Luna speaks of freedom and sincerity
Luna is reality amidst all uncertainty
Luna is you, that you hardly know.
When you’re down and lost, and you go places just to find yourself
Sometimes you just need to look at the mirror and there you’ll find the answers,
there you’ll find yourself again in Luna’s eyes looking back at you.

That’s a beautiful poem Alexis. Very self reflecting.
Anyway, I’ve tagged you a meme. Come by my blog here for the meme,
Thank you.
This is a well-written & also an inspirational poem indeed. I’ll keep that in mind & whenever I come to know any of my friends who lacks of motivation, self-esteem etc, I’ll ask them to come here and read this. Great efforts.
Hello my emo friend…
Keep writing. You have an awesome gift… Did you happen to catch the eclipse on the 20th?
Prayers,
Pisio
@Madamoiselle - Thanks
I’ll be doing the meme soon as I can, sorry for the delay.
@Look4Dream Girls - Well, I hope people would find it inspiring as you do.
@Pisio808 - Hello my friend! Unfortunately, I wasn’t. Although it must’ve been the reason why I’ve grown my tails and lil horns that day! JK!
It’s a lovely and creative piece. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Grade school?! What a talent!
