importance of mailboxes

Letters: Love in a mailbox.
Since I was a kid we had old school mailboxes in my grandma’s place. I loved retrieving letters from them, even those that are just being manually dropped by friends, and I do the same when answering to them. Its funny how I used to write as many letters as possible to almost everyone I know. Maybe my grandma is right, I was a sweet kid back then. From simply wishing friends a good day, to greeting people on their special occasions, and sending thank you mails to those who’ve done me a good deed. It’s not until a few years back when I started receiving really important mails that I realized how important those letter boxes are and how secure they should be. Before, I used to see those residential mailboxes as just letter containers, or simply a part of every household’s design, but there’s really more to it than just that. Now, we have a more secure mailbox where I receive important documents, bills, and etc. I have even tried renting one of those commercial mailboxes before while I was out of the country, in order for me to receive especial documents and packages. Sometimes, there are things that we see as simple decors, but there’s really more function to it than we think, and when we realize their importance, we start seeing them as treasures of great value. I still get hand written letters in my mailbox nowadays and they make me really happy every time, because for me they’re love in a sealed envelope and dropped inside a mailbox.
