Most of you might find this photo weird, but this is genuine. The girl in the picture is Jennifer Sutton and the specimen in the bottle is an organ removed from her body in a transplant operation just three months ago. Yes, this is a girl who comes face-to-face with own heart. The organ that nearly caused her death, thanks to the donor, she is alive and never felt as healthy in her entire life. This is truly another breakthrough in the Medical Science field. Actually, this is just one of the success stories in heart transplants.

If it’s possible in other countries, how come its not in this country? I know to those who can afford it, It is very possible. I am also aware that there are a lot of Filipino Surgeons who are capable of doing the operation, We do have our heart centers but due to lack in funding and facilities, the knowledge and skills of our surgeons as well as the lives of millions of Filipinos who suffer and die from this disease - are being put to waste.

I wonder how many more would die of heart disease here in the Philippines - without a fight. How I wish Philippine government would focus more on this matter rather than spending the people’s money to fund their political ambitions. Pork barrels, useless luxury travels, undeclared expenditures, useless and overpriced projects, etc.. All those crap!

Why don’t these political leaders lie one by one inside the donation chambers and donate their organs for good! That’s the most noble thing they could do to show that indeed they are serious about “serving” the Filipino people. That’d be a one true test of their sincerity. Those walking alligators are so used to lying that even if you put them under lie detector tests, they would still pass! That’s how serious they are about doing their job, “Corruption”, whether of money, resources, favors, and even the minds of the naive Filipino voters.

Or why don’t they bring back the death penalty? And instead of spending too much on lethal injections, Why not have their organs donated to those who need it? Anyway those criminals do heartless things - they don’t need their hearts! They don’t realize the misery, hurt, and suffering brought about by their criminal deeds, and they are blind to the tears of the victims and the love ones who suffer the losses. So why let them have their eyes? they abuse their livers and their bodies doing drugs and abusing alcohol intake, Why let them live with all those healthy organs just to ruin them? Bring back death Penalty for good, and this time with a twist!

I’m happy to see and hear good news like these, and I am happy for Jennifer Sutton, but when i come to think of how it’s like in my own country it saddens me. Like I said, how come these breakthroughs are possible for them and not for us?
