I’m not trying to get showbiz here but i was browsing through Anitokid’s blog and got to read this article that he got from abs-cbn’s site.
“The Sandiganbayan Fourth Division on Thursday sentenced former Parañaque mayor Joselito “Joey” Marquez to six to 10 years imprisonment for an overpriced broom (walis tingting) deal, DZMM reported.
Marquez who is also a comedian and host of a showbiz oriented talk show was convicted by the Sandiganbayan for violation of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.”
Hmm… Truly, no one is above the law not even fame can save you. You do something bad, you pay for it!
How I wish all other corrupt government officials would get convicted too. But as i was trying to imagine the scene… it’s not a good picture seeing all those who are in the position right now going to prison. I’m sure there will be just a few left, and those few won’t even be a 100% innocent of any crime.
If that happens, we might even see another president getting jailed (tsk-tsk), and oh yeah! count another one in! It’s about time FVR face his accountabilities. Who among you still remember all his whatever projects and under-the-table transactions? How about all the centennial crap?
All problems started in his regime and was passed on to ERAP and so this country nearly drowned in deep shit!
Let’s have them all in prison, maybe that’s the solution to our country’s problem.
